Jessica Lazenby is a portrait photographer in the Four Corners area of the Southwest. Jessica believes that taking the time to get a feel of her client’s personality is key to a commanding portrait. Although mainly a portrait photographer, she holds special interests in lifestyle, adventure, travel and food photography.

Growing up, Jessica has always gravitated toward the arts. It began with elective art classes, community art classes, and simply creating with any medium of art she could get her hands on. Before recieving a Bachelors of Art in Psychology from New Mexico State University, Jessica majored in Art with an emphasis in painting. This formative time in her life helped her learn the history and concepts behind what makes a piece of art visually pleasing. She feels her experience with painting aids in her understanding of light and color, which translates into her photos.

Fast forward several years (and a few kiddos later) , Jessica has been working in the human services realm, and currently in human resources. Over the years she has been called upon to photograph and create, and finally decided it was time to dedicate herself to pursuing her passion of art by creating her own business.

During her time as a hobbyist, Jessica has photographed seniors, couples, families, weddings, professionals, and even created billboards for a healthcare company. Recently, she has even been contracted on a large product photography project. Jessica thoroughly enjoys the diverse landscape and beauty that the Four Corners area offers. Although she she enjoys doing portrait sessions, her ideal clients would share this love and passion for exploring, adventuring, and would allow her to document mainly genuine and candid experiences. She cannot wait to begin her next adventure with you!
